Hello, World (and why I started writing)
Who am I, what is going on, and why am I doing this in the first place?
I have never read or written a blog before. I have no idea what I’m doing. But here we are.
I firmly believe that the people that are around you influence you more than you think, and even if not chosen by you, they are still a part of your life. I want to be around people that are doing interesting things, and I want to be able to share what I’m doing with them. So here we are.
I want to make sure it is clear I do not take myself too seriously, and I hope you won’t either. This is just a very real stream of consciousness, made in a very dark small living room - kitchen in Trento.
This work also is inspired by others’. Real friends of mine that after 8-9 hours of work on writing code (probably not actually writing), still have the energy to do inspiring personal projects.
So who am I to not do the same?
Let me be clear I cannot do what they do. After a day at work the last thing I think about is “Man I really want to build an entire open source personal os so that I can have local personal agents”. This is the lazy equivalent. Vibe coding a blog hosted on the free github space and then ranting about how small this AI revolution makes you feel as a developer.
Another mention of honour goes to an ex colleague of mine that I personally look up to that has a blog to which I am a competitor now (but I would cite anyway since it gave me isnpiration for this blog) you can find it here.
